European airlines reroute to avoid Ukraine airspace meanwhile USA airlines are banning all all flights to Isreal for the next 24 hours |
Julian Bray writes:
The Rt. Hon Philip Hammond MP has only been the UK Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs since July 15th, having previously held the UK defence portfolio, and yet on July 21st Mr Hammond is forced to declare: "The World has changed since last week," possibly a classic understatement, as today the United Nations meets to impose wide ranging 'sectorial' sanctions on President Putins Russia.
Shrapnel indications detected.... |
By sectorial, it is thought the sanctions will simply wipe out whole industrial categories regardless of the collateral damage the imposition may cause. UK suppliers like Smiths Industries, will find their calibration and measuring instruments are effectively on a banned list of technology products, the sanction also clearly financially and unexpectedly damaging to the UK supplier.
The French however may take a totally different view, as they are in the process of delivering two very expensive high specification helicopter warships to Russia. Our information is that leaders in the aviation world already in the Uk for the Farnborough Air Show, have also been engaged in a series of heated meetings, a very clear set of 'demands' have now been placed before UN delegates, by teams of well placed lobby groups.
Aviation sources are keen to protect established airways but will seek firm assurances that aircraft in designated air corridors will be more vigourously protected, something that has been watered down on cost grounds. Failure to do so will see airlines collectively and independently declaring whole countries out of bounds, for both passenger and cargo air movements.
You would think that after a few days, there would be nothing left to report on the MH12 aircraft attack, but in a news round up programme on Channel 4 last night (Monday) hosted by Matt Frei, a German - born British television news journalist.
Matt slipped away from the main organised tour and provided the first detailed pictures of a aircraft panel taken from the flight deck area, and showed what can only be termed 'pepperpot' shrapnel impact, with the metal sheeting tears facing outwards suggesting the impact was from INSIDE the Boeing 777-200. We could tell it was from the flight deck, as the pilots shattered seat, was just a couple of feet away... powerful images that just cut through the propaganda machines now cranking into place.
Clearly had the international investigators been left to get on with their work, this evidence, would have been revealed almost immediately. The news would have put extra international pressure on the 'warlords' within Ukraine, to come to the table. Valuable time clearly having been lost.
Taking advantage of his temporary freedom, the camera with Matt in tow, continued to probe and follow the debris trail. Clearly the 'crime scene' should have been preserved, but hopefully much of the intelligence can be pieced together from the countless thousands of images being taken by anyone with a camera, and these days that is just about everyone.
But Monday evening was a series of 'breaking news' developments. Both of the 'black boxes' (painted bright day glo orange ) have finally been handed over and apart from some superficial damage, the close up pictures of the two units would seem to be intact and therefore viable. The seals, also seem from the pictures, to be unbroken. In a later change, david cameron has said the Black Box units are now to be sent to Farnborough, UK for evaluation.

'Black Box' |
Why the rebel leader claimed 'live to camera' the black boxes were 'in bits' is just another example of the high level of deliberate misinformation being fed to the world by several sources. Earlier agency video of one of the undamaged orange painted units being carried through a wheat field, probably led the rebel leader to change his mind and leave the units well alone. It has also come out that the 'captured' social media conversation exchanges were faked. Another classic Soviet Cold War style of misinformation. Something I witnessed in East Germany (GDR) at the Leipzig Trade Fairs long before the Berlin wall came down.
The refrigerated train containing the bags of bodies and human parts has finally arrived at Kharkiv, these will be transferred to a transport plane back to the Netherlands where the grim task of identification will take place before the human remains being released to relatives for burial. Hopefully the authorities will transfer the contents of the body bags to sealed caskets before they are loaded onboard the aircraft, and offloaded at the destination. The dignity surrounding this whole incident has so far been lacking as negotiations have been taking place in a totally dysfunctional war zone.
