As broadcast and discussed on BBC Scotland by Julian Bray the Aviation Expert, rowdy drunks or those who appear to be drunk and board an aircraft and found guilty of “air rage” could be banned from flying with domestic airlines FOR LIFE, under tough new plans reportedly being considered by the government.
The Times reports tthe moves are a response to alarm among industry figures at a spike in reports of drunken disruption by passengers. A dossier prepared by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), ecords a rise in reports of passengers drinking their own booze, smoking in lavatories, assaulting cabin crew, fighting, using abusive language, damaging tray tables and stealing lifejackets.
