Some sad news is emerging from BELL Helicopters. in a brief statement (issued on Saturday 9th July 2016) they say:
"Due to the recent tragic events involving a Bell 525 flight test vehicle that resulted in the tragic loss of two Bell Helicopter crew members, we have decided to cancel all Bell 525 related media activities during the Farnborough International Air Show.
"This is a devastating time for BELL Helicopter, our priority is to provide support to the families of our fallen team members and assistance to local, state and federal authorities."
The company has not withdrawn from the airshow but have rearranged press and photocalls featuring other production and services currently being offered. In particular, the BELL 429 is in service with Wiltshire Air Ambulance, and claims to be a favourite with police forces and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) around the world.
