Julian Bray Aviation Security Analyst and Broadcaster writes: The AAIB ( Air Accidents Investigation Branch ) have just confirmed in a statement released earlier (August 22nd 2016) today, the FINAL REPORT into the Shoreham Air Accident will be published, within the next four months, that is before the end of this year.
This is quite an achievement by the AAIB, who have not only mounted a major, and very detailed investigation in the Shoreham air display disaster, as we have reported in detail over the months, in which many people, outside of the air show perimeter, and motorists on an adjoining motorway lost their lives.
The AAIB also during the period, assisted in the CAA revision of air display rules for the conduct of air shows and aerial displays, but have also had a major legal battle over the custody of evidence submitted and collected by the AAIB, as police have demanded access to AAIB materials, before the final AAIB report is published.
